We went splashing at Saddle Ridge in Hampton and hooked up with Rick Monroe, an up and coming country music star. We made our rounds through this bar that is so huge it should have its own zip code. As we approached Rick and his band on the patio we had to cut through a sea of hot women on the dance floor. We sat and listened to him play for a couple of sets and then Rick invited us up to the "meet and greet" where the fans could meet him in a much quieter atmosphere. After the pictures, hugs and handshakes we headed back down to the patio, sat down and while we had a drink we asked Rick a few questions. Here's what we got

So, Rick how old are you? 32

Where are you from? Clearwater Florida

Describe your music. Our music is a cross between Rock, Country and blues and any thing kick-ass between.

What is the craziest thing you have seen on tour? Ha Ha No comment

What was the coolest music experience for you? I sang the Star spangled banner in Vietnam last year.

What is your best childhood memory? My Dad played football for University of Florida and took me to the Bucs training camp and I got to meet QB Doug Williams.

One Band you would like to play with on stage? The Allman brothers

Favorite Musicians? In the cd player right now is Brad Paisley - Mud on the tire but, I really like Elvis Costello and 50s and 60s music like Buddy Holly
What is your favorite movie? Anchorman, that movie is awesome! And the Godfather is cool too!

Anything that we left out that we should know? Yes, I couldn't ask for anything else right now. I love what I do and I love to make people happy and show them a good time. My wife Darci who I love with all my heart travels with me and is by my side at all times. I can't even imagine what will happen next.
